On His Feast Day, A Song St. Joseph Might Like…

Last year on this day, I shared a letter I wrote to St. Joseph. Afterwards, I went to see if I could find any music that was inspired by him.

I came up with nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

No concertos, no operas, no arias. There is the Litany of St. Joseph, but for my purposes, that doesn’t count as music, because it’s not.

See what happens when you are active, but mute, in the scriptures?

So left with the prospect of a world in which St. Joseph has inspired no music whatsoever (or maybe all of it), I’ll share the following song for the following reasons: A) St. Joseph can dig the title, and B) he would agree with the sentiments.

Maybe.

Depeche Mode, Enjoy the Silence.

P.S. It turns out readers did find a few songs inspired by St. Joseph. See below…
