The bottomline? It’s all about the timing of the questions. And questions asked in the present rarely identify timeless moral truths.

I’ll let him argue the point in light of the current cri de coeur surrounding a certain hot-button issue.

I never became a Catholic because of opinion polls. I don’t intend to stay a Catholic because of them either.

By the way, did you see what the Church of England decided about marriage? It’s between one man, and one woman. They must not have paid attention to the public opinion polls either.
